Welcome. WorkingEd is an initiative to retain talent in the West Central Ohio Region by providing an easily accessible method of linking post secondary graduating students and those seeking internships with businesses in the region that have employment and career needs to fill. This program provides the opportunity to drill down to skill sets either required by employers or obtained by students.
Skill set technology gives employers the ability to locate their prime candidates and students the opportunity to display what skills they possess.
WorkingEd was “born” through a grant awarded by the Ohio Department of
Job and Family Services in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Development to the Allen
Economic Development Group in partnership with the Governor’s West Central Ohio Regional Office and the 8 County Region (Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert; the grant also covers Logan and Shelby counties). Numerous other local agencies assisted in this initiative.
